28M Passenger Ferry

The passenger and cargo ferry “GLORY” constructed with aluminum hull is 28.0 meters in length, 6.5 meters in breadth and runs at a maximum speed of 34.45 knots driven by three(3) Caterpillar C32 diesel engines with three fixed pitch propellers, the engine power is 1400PS each. It can carry 188 passengers and dry cargo including motorcycles. The service area is Liuchiu Island and TungGang.

Since the Taiwan coastal area is notorious for rough seas and strong winds in winter, the hull form is deep-V shape with high bow to take more slamming load and reducing wave ingress. The hull form of the vessel has been improved to achieve good resistance and see-keeping performance based on parent ship which tested at model basin and testified during sea trial.

The ferry is finished and delivered to Owner in April 2007 and joined the service. All the design, construction, equipment including lifesaving and fire fighting of the vessel are complied with rules and regulations of governmental and classification society. The major navigation facility includes Radar, GPS, EPIRB, Siren and VHF.
