ˇĄPP-5033' has an overall length of 26.5 metres, beam of 6.2 metres, and a maximum speed of 36 knots with four MAN 2842 LE410 diesels. The hull form is a deep-V, with a design vertical acceleration of 3.59 in LCG. The hull material is aluminum, a first for the Taiwan Coast Guard.
The four main diesels drive four waterjet systems, which are getting more popular in Taiwan due to an increase in floating debris around the coast.
ˇĄPP-5033' is equipped with fire fighting pumps with a discharge of 60m3/hr at a range of 125 metres, a remote controllable fire monitor, and fire fighting foam tank. As well as being equipped to undertake major fire fighting work, the equipped towing bits, towing beam, and quick release towing hook enable the vessel to carry out towing missions. The bollard pull capacity is up to five tonnes.
The vessel also comes with a stern launched, four metre RIB powered by a Mercury 1430kW gasoline jet engine for a maximum speed of 44 knots.
